Every Tuesday at
6.30pm with Manu
Kirtan
Come along for an evening of rhythmic kirtan
chant music. Manu was so eager to begin these
sessions on Tuesday evening that he initiated this event in
December 2008, months before the Centre was actually
completed (April 2009).
At that stage the event was an invitation-only
event, and the enthusiastic kirtan singers waded up the
stairs through the construction rubble to get to the
only small room available. Dusting off their clothing they were
greeted by the ever-enthusiastic Manu already pumping away on
his harmonium.

...And now this event is
Open to one and all. Don't worry,
the Centre is fully complete and
refurbished! |

Manu Das is the
Temple President of
the Inis Rath
Island Community
in County
Fermanagh.
Originally a Dublin
man from Glasnevin,
he has
been a leading
Bhaki-Yogi
in Ireland since
the early
eighties.
Well known
in Vaishnava
circles for his
spiritual
vitality and
energy, he is a
voluntary
director of
both
charities, ISKCON
Ireland and
ISKCON Northern
Ireland. In his
twenties he
lived as a
Krishna
monk (brahmacari)
but these days
(past the
mid-century
mark) he runs a
successful art
business, with
help from his
wife and two
children.
The essence
of Bhakti-Yoga
is that
although one
may appear a
professional
person on the
outside, going
about private
business
pursuits, one
may still be a
deeply
spiritual individual.
After all, it's
what's inside
that counts.
Manu
exemplifies
this fact.
